We had a nice, uneventful flight back to Frankfort for an evening meal, visiting and telling flying tales. We had a lot of catching up to do! |
Let's go get Paul and fly to Barry Brown's via the KY River! |
I take off and we are on our way. Prudence dictated that we take off from our short strip one up and the girls could drive to Paul Huber's and we would double up there. |
This is an aerial view of Frankfort and the State Capitol on our way to Paul Huber's. Our strips are 10 miles apart as the trike flies, north to south. This is a view from the south looking north. |
We do a quick tour to the south of Paul's to show off Buzzards' Roost and the scenery. This is Tyronne Bridge, it is 200' from the bottom of the highway bridge to the river. On the right is Austin Nichols Distillery, home of Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon. |
Gene took this shot of me flying in the river valley. Actually, Gene took a lot of the pictures during this trip. Thanks Gene. |
We are on our way, we took off from Paul's and 4 trikes were on their way north to Crawdaddy Landing in Carrollton, KY. |
Lock and Dam #2 on the KY River. |
Here we are at Barry Brown's strip, Crawdaddy Landing. Barry wasn't at home, but we sure enjoyed the use of his strip. There was a steady stream of traffic in front of Barry's house, everyone wanted to check out the strange flying contraptions! |
