I built this page for my own satisfaction and for those few individuals that requested it.  It is simply pictures of the building of the Zenith CH 701.  A STOL Aircraft, powered by a Rotax 912S.  We built the rudder at the Zenith Aircraft plant in Mexico, Missouri.  The remainder was built at the Czech Aircraft Works, in Stare Mesto, Czech Republic.  After watching friends build theirs in their home workshops we decided that the quick build program offered by Skyshops, Inc. and CZAW was a more suitable option for us.  The program offered through Skyshops allows you to build the aircraft at an aircraft production plant under the watchful eyes of skilled aircraft production engineers and employees.  An added benefit are the wonderful Czech people and the beautiful country and cities.  I will post images of Praha (Prague) and the province of Moravia later.  Paula and I partnered on this as we do most things to build our own little airplane.
For those of you that made it this far congratulations, I have another 400+ pictures, but you will have to come to Bald Knob Aerodrome and Spa to see them.  A special thanks to Paula who was a real trooper and without her perseverance I would not have finished this project.  Marketa and Marcela with Paula and I in these last two pictures what great gals, and smart too!  Thank you very much.  Also a special thanks to Marek the engineer and test pilot, Peter the production manager, and Robin who kept me from building a plane that would not have flown most likely.  This was a great trip and we had a wonderful time.  The images of us building the rudder were at the Zenith plant in Missouri, the rest at Czech Aircraft Works, Stare Mesto, Czech Republic.  The plane is in the Czech Republic waiting to have the engine installed, to be upholstered, and painted.  It will be test flown, most likely by Marek, then partially disassembled and container shipped to Skyshops in Florida.  We will travel to Florida, re-assassemble it, and test fly it there.  Then bring it home!  Dan & Paula
This is me with our friend, Joe Crowe, Joe is building a 701 at his home in Bloomington, Indiana.  Joe was originally intending to build the 601, but after flying the 701 decided it was the aircraft for him!
