Here is the latest update on the building of our Zenith CH 701, the painting is completed, it has been test flown and is due to be shipped to the U. S. August 11, 2004.
This is the panel, from left to right starting with the first instrument, tachometer, carburetor heat control, choke, throttle, flap position indicator, flap control switch, airspeed indicator, attitude indicator/turn & bank coordinator, altimeter, VSI (ascent/descent indicator in feet per minute), intercom control, VHF radio, transponder, cabin Emergency Locator Transmitter, power outlet, oil pressure gauge, left wing tank fuel gauge, ignition switch, oil temperature gauge, right wing tank fuel gauge, power switches, and circuit breakers, water temperature gauge, ammeter, copilot throttle control, power outlet. Compass center top of panel. The PTT for the microphone and trim control are in the stick. Cabin heat control and the Hobbs meter are located to the right and below the copilot throttle control.
This view highlights the engine compartment without the top cowling cover installed. The engine is a Rotax 912S, 100 horsepower, water-cooled engine. The propeller is a carbon fiber Warp Drive. The landing gear is a heavy duty off field system with tundra tires.
This image is of the starboard (right side) of the aircraft with the door up. We will add images as time permits, the plane is to be shipped to the U. S. August 11, 2004. We will install the wings after it arrives.
Here is the latest image of our wayward little aircraft. It is safe and sound sitting in the hangar at Skyshop, Palm City, Florida waiting for us to complete the final assembly of the wings and tail!
